I have just completed the Hostile Environment Close Protection Operators (HECPO) Course with Longmoor Security that commenced on the 11th of July and finished on the 1st of August 2011. The course is conducted out of Heythrop Park training centre located some 10 miles to the south of Banbury that is easily accessible from the M40. The training location is within a stunning country park with excellent dining facilities, classrooms and extensive training areas. All course students were accommodated in individual en –suite rooms that are ideal for out of hour’s course study.
I have been in the Army for 12 years and I am presently a platoon sergeant with extensive operational experience. However, I found the course of instruction professional, demanding and informative. The instructors are of the highest calibre; they keep the instruction straight to the point and are always ready and willing to answer any questions no matter how insignificant they may seem.
The Tactical Fire Arms (TFA) training that was conducted in Slovenia was first class. We started with basic weapon training on the Glock pistol and AK 47 but quickly moved on to target and combat pistol shooting. By the third day we were conducting fire and movement and VIP extraction shoots. As well as the Glock and AK 47 we were introduced to the Remington Shotgun and the .357 and .45 Magnum pistols, fire the .45 it is an experience.
I would say the best thing about the course is that you not only get Hostile training but you are fully schooled in Corporate CP and are more than ready to take your SIA exam. The Longmoor Security instructors are always looking at ways to improve the content, quality and standard of their courses. I have had assistance in the preparation of my CV and I know they are planning to improve the standard of the medical training and bringing in external speakers who will add value to the course. I have no hesitation in recommending Longmoor security to anybody who is looking for the very best CPO and HECPO training provider.
