Course Description:

Driving is a skill in which few people are prepared to admit they have either weakness or default. This is particularly true in the specialist security industry. The highest cause of injury to personnel and damage to equipment remains the road traffic accident.

Longmoor Security trains members of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and Australian and Canadian Foreign Office (FO) security staff in Protective Driving in armoured vehicles, prior to their deployments abroad.

Our tailored Protective Motoring Skills courses are delivered by UK Police qualified advanced drivers and instructors, all of whom have been trained by the Army’s Close Protection Wing. Clients cover all aspects of driving, from saloon cars to four-wheel drive, both on and off road. The courses vary in length and are geared towards the client's area where they employed.

The enhanced driving courses run by the Longmoor Security are aimed professional drivers with clients who are at medium to high risk. They are aimed at increasing a driver’s awareness in a protective motoring role. Other specialist driving courses are available for those employed as a VIP or Diplomatic driver or part of a Personal Security Detail (PSD) / Close Protection (CP) team.
