The Medical Wing’s First Person On Scene – Oil and Gas/ Industrial (FPOS – OGI) is one of the world’s most comprehensive medical courses designed specifically for the Oil and Gas and Industrial sector.
Not only does the course train out clients in common injuries, it provides in depth training into injuries that are specific to the oil and gas industry. Taking the training a vital stage further, The Medical Wing look at rescue techniques associated with Oil and Gas infrastructure, for example abseiling and fast rope techniques. Our delegates will also be exposed to numerous real life scenarios under the careful support and guidance of our highly experienced instructors. Each delegate will leave the course knowing that they are prepared to tackle any medical emergency in the industrial sector and access to a support network offered to them by our 24-hour emergency contact number.

The FPOS-OGI course is 5 days in length. The standard (non-bespoke) course is usually a 4 day course but The Medical Wing’s allows an extra day for in depth study into certain types of injuries or illnesses depending on which FPOS is being taken (SBM/FPOS Oil & Gas etc), with intensive scenarios, role plays in varying realistic environments.
