The Medical Wing’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved course is in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981and is taught by our highly experienced group of paramedic instructors.

Once delegates have been passed our First Aid at Work certificate, they can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The Medical Wing course is tailored to suit the client’s business. The Medical Wing’s FAAW course is run over 4 days, with extra emphasis on injuries and trauma, with an introduction to gunshot wounds and blast injuries (for people working in hostile regions) and scenario based practice. The course can be delivered from our training centre in Oxfordshire or at any location to suit our client’s needs.

The certificate is valid for 3 years, with refresher courses strongly recommended by the HSE every year, before full requalification training is taken again after 3 years.
