Major Keith Wright – Chief Operating Officer
Keith joined the army as a Junior Leader in 1971. In 1973 at the age of 17 he successfully completed “P Company” the pre-parachute selection course and joined the UK Airborne Forces in August of that year.
In 1976 at the age of 20 Keith successfully passed the SAS Selection Course making him one of the youngest soldiers ever to join this elite and world famous Regiment.
This marked a 34 year career of unbroken service with the UK Special Forces (UKSF). During this time Keith participated in a number of operational deployments and conducted numerous overseas training tasks and exercises. This prolonged exposure to high intensity environments gave Keith a unique opportunity to develop his strategic management and organisational skills.
Keith is qualified in protective security and he has organised and led world-wide close protection and counter terrorist training tasks. He is a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (MIIRSM) he has been awarded a Graduateship in Leadership and Management from the City and Guilds Institute (GCGI) he holds a Diploma in Safety Management (Dip SM) and he is a certified registered practitioner in Managing Successful Business Programmes.
Joanna Fowler - Commercial Director
Joanna has over two decades of experience operating within the UK security industry during which time she has attained a high degree of expertise and experience in both financial and operational matters.
She started her career within the security industry in 1985 as an administrator for a leading independent security group, Sovereign Security Systems. She quickly progressed from administration into finance, gaining valuable experience in finance and contract management.
Over the years she has held a number of positions including senior financial postings, logistics and large scale operational deployment planning. She was also instrumental in co-ordinating the integration of 14 acquired businesses into a central hub for global security group Chubb.
In 2010 Joanna was seconded to Longmoor Security, from its parent group Westminster, to assist with the development and reorganisation of the business. With a strong knowledge of management accounting, experience of operational and logistical planning and a constant desire for improvement Joanna is a valued member of the Longmoor management team.
SD - Lead Tactical Firearms trainer
SD is a former member of 22 Special Air Service (SAS). He has served with distinction and exemplary service for 25 years within the armed forces (10 years with the Parachute regiment and 15 years in the SAS).
During his service he was regimental training manager and delivered training for numerous disciplines, including but not restricted to: Close Quarter Battle Techniques; Advanced Weapon Instruction; Hostage Release; Skilled Mobility Vehicle; Motorbike and Quad bike operation; and Method of Entry (MOE) into buildings both manual & explosive.
He has conducted VIP protection tasks throughout the world and is highly trained in close protection and counter terrorism disciplines both within the UK and abroad. He always delivers outstanding training by using his knowledge and past experience gained from operational situations together with his training within 22 SAS. He comes highly recommended with excellent testimonials. SD is a highly skilled dynamic Close Quarter Combat (CQB) Operator and instructor whose training skills successes are based on his relentless pursuit for excellence and self discipline.
SD is primarily responsible for Longmoor’s Close Quarter Battle (CQB) & Tactical Firearms (TFA) training as we believe that our trainers should be delivering training at the highest levels possible within their specific skill sets. He is also involved in our CP training programmes when appropriate.
RB – CP Lead Trainer
Our Lead Trainer RB has had an exemplary career within the British Armed Forces, specifically the Royal Air Force/Military Police.
During his long and distinguished career he became qualified within the Royal Military Police Close Protection unit and deployed on several occasions to both Iraq and Afghanistan working within handpicked Close Protection Teams.
RB’s experience is drawn from providing high level protection in hostile environments for Senior British Commanders ranking as Three Star Generals and Senior British Diplomats from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). RB’s experience within Close Protection Teams is comprehensive ranging from Personal Body Guard through to Personal Escort Section Commander and Team QM.
Whilst not deployed on Close Protection operations, RB was employed within the Royal Military Police as an Instructor. RB was responsible for the delivery of training across a broad spectrum of skills and specialties, most notably as the Lead Conflict Management Instructor for the Royal Military Police.
RB is a highly respected and seasoned trainer with a wealth of personal experience drawn from protecting high threat personnel within the most hostile of environments. This knowledge, combined with his highly developed instructional skills mark RB as a trainer with a true vocation who has experienced every aspect of the job that a Close Protection operative can expect to encounter.
MC – Lead Advanced Driver trainer
MC joined the Royal Military Police (RMP) in 1988 completing the world renowned British Army Close Protection course at Longmoor in 1992. As a Close Protection operative he was then deployed overseaswith UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) ondiplomatic protection duties in various types of hostile environments. He enjoyed 10 years with the RMP reaching Senior NCO level before returning to the UK.
A short time adapting to civilian way of life then saw him join a UK tactical firearms unit responsible for all aspects of UK firearms and search operations. Home Office Close Protection trained with 9 years experience working as a CP operative involved in Ministerial, Diplomatic, Royal and high profile dignitary visits provide him with a wealth of knowledge of CP operating procedures in both hostile and low level protection duties within the UKand overseas.
MC is primarily responsible for delivering Longmoor’s driver training packages due to his current Home Office approved advanced driver status and knowledge and experience of CP driving drills in both armoured and soft skin vehicles.
He sets and achieves high personal standards and actively encourages others to do likewise. His high levels of understanding and experience in Close Protection makes him an asset to any security industries provider and students wanting training to the highest levels possible.
